Donor Story: Ruth Pew Jaynes

Ruth Pew Jaynes

Ruth Pew Jaynes BBA’74, MBA’76 decided to be a Victor for Martha Cook.  She has given an outright gift of $1000 to the Martha Cook Building Annual Fund and has also included MCB in her estate plan.  The first gift will be recognized with a plaque placed on a dining room chair, a fitting spot for the Chorister of 1973-74 and 1974-75.

Ruth chose to make these commitments because “Martha Cook is part of me.  I met my best friends here, I had some of the best times of my life here, and I want future Cookies to have the same experience.  I hope that making my support known will encourage other women to be Victors for Martha Cook.”

The goal of the Martha Cook Building is to raise $5 million during the Victors for Michigan campaign as the starting point toward our greater objective of renovating the Building, a task which is estimated to cost $30 million.  To date, we have raised about 40% of the $5 million target.  Your gift today will bring us closer to our goals, so please join Ruth in being a Victor for Martha Cook and for Michigan. For your convenience, gifts can be made online at
